Martin Campbell,
Founder and Director

Martin is a highly experienced and well-known strategic adviser and communications specialist, with an impressive history of achievements over more than 25 years in the UK financial services sector.

Martin started his career at Norwich Union Life and Pensions as a marketer and product designer. He worked there for 11 years, before leaving in 1994 to help build and launch Virgin Direct (now called Virgin Money) as one of the founding members of the management team.

During the process of designing, researching and helping to launch each of the initial Virgin Direct products, Martin took an increasingly important role as the company's main spokesman with the media. For three years in a row, he and his team won the MORI poll of financial journalists as the best press office in the financial services industry.

In 1997, Martin's role evolved further to also embrace lobbying, where he achieved some remarkable victories in heavily influencing Government reform of the industry.

Martin left Virgin at the end of 2001 to set up Beacon Strategic to offer advice and delivery to other organisations in and around the industry who believed commercial success is best achieved by doing a better job for the customer.

He and the business he started now enjoy a first class reputation throughout the financial services industry, the media and Westminster as a champion of organisations doing new and better things for the consumer.
