Our approach

What makes Beacon different

There are a number of things about Beacon that make us distinctly different from most other consultancies, agencies and advisers - 

  • Integrity
    We have a strong sense of integrity, ethics and commitment to customers. Whilst this of course sounds like nauseating marketing puff, it is in fact our most distinct feature. It applies as much to the nature of the initiatives and projects we prefer to get involved with as it does to our own way of working and performing for our clients. We are consumer champions at heart and we want to work with organisations that in some way are contributing to the improvement of the industry’s standards of delivery to the end consumer.

  • We know financial services are vital 
    We see financial services as not just another industry there to make money for shareholders and provide employment to staff, but also as an essential service supporting and facilitating the aspirations of people for security, prosperity and financial freedom. We would not find the same meaning and value in working with say car manufacturers or the fashion industry.

  • We know the industry
    Unlike many communications specialists, we have an extensive and in-depth experience and knowledge of the financial services market - its products and services, distribution models, regulatory environment, Governmental involvement and intentions, its history and likely future. That’s why we are equally good at developing strategy, engaging successfully with Government and providing insight and commentary on industry developments.

  • Who you see is who you get
    We do not have an ‘A team’ that wins pitches and then hands over to a ‘B team’ that can’t deliver against the promise. The people that have those all-important first discussions with you will be the same people who do the work for you throughout the project.

  • Value for money
    We charge a sensible rate for the time we put in for you. We don’t charge eye-watering retainers that leave you wondering what you got for your £10,000 at the end of each month. We want a relationship where you can see what you are paying, what you are getting and have the opportunity at any point to buy more or less of us as you require.
